There will be a public meeting tonight with the aim of making proposals to the federal government’s poverty reduction strategy.

The meeting, hosted by the P.E.I. Coalition for a Poverty Eradication Strategy and the MacKillop Centre for Social Justice, takes place in room 207 of the Murphy Community Centre in Charlottetown at 7 p.m.

The deadline for suggestions to the federal government is June 30 and the groups hope that together they can come up with constructive approaches that can be implemented without delay.
