Halton Community Legal Services is asking for the public’s help in a program to combat Indigenous homelessness in Halton.

The problem in Halton is more hidden than it is in other urban areas. Any Indigenous person who sleeps outside in a car, stays with friends or relatives or travels outside Halton for shelter is considered to be homeless.

HCLS needs the knowledge, wisdom and shared experiences to guide them in designing a community action plan that will help Indigenous homeless people in Halton.

Sage or sweetgrass and a snack and small honorarium will be provided for those who come forward.
